Welcome to the Early Childhood Center

About Us

LFCS offers families early learning opportunities through several programs: Preschool/School Readiness, Early Childhood Special Education, Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) and Early Childhood Screening. LFCS Early Childhood programming is guided by Minnesota State Statutes, best practices, and the Minnesota Department Education Indicators of Progress and the Parent Education Core Curriculum. All of our early childhood teachers and parent educators hold a Bachelor’s Degree or higher and/or are licensed in Early Childhood and or Parent Education. Little Falls Community Schools Preschool is four star, Parent Aware rated.

October 2023 Flyer Update

In this episode, there are three segments. Superintendent Greg Johnson stopped by to recap the 9/18/23 School Board meeting. Next, Activities Director Kevin Jordan joins the program to discuss fall activities. Finally, Lori Kush and Allison White share information about FAB.

Knife River generously donated a dump truck full of sand for the Early Childhood sandbox. Brad Lemier with Knife River made this happen for us, and the preschoolers are so happy!

September 2023 Flyer Update

On August 21, 2023, Samantha Bartos and Hannah Strunk became the very first student representatives to the School Board in the history of the District. They join the program to discuss what they hope to accomplish as the first student representatives to the School Board and share their thoughts on some areas they feel need to be addressed. #FlyerUpdate

Early Childhood teachers and paras took part in Pyramid Training on Thursday. This training encourages healthy social emotional development in all children, with increasing support for students who need additional interventions. The team is excited to put this into practice and will attend several additional  trainings later this year.

A variety of topics were shared to update families on what is happening at the Early Childhood Center for the 2023-2034 school year.
